Dr. Ann Ascher

Education: Auburn University-1983

Dr. Ascher considers herself lucky to have been able to follow her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Biology & obtained her DVM from Auburn University. She purchased Clover Hill Animal Hospital in 1993 so that she could practice high quality medicine in a warm & friendly environment. She has surrounded herself here at Clover Hill with a staff that loves people & animals and has created a culture of kindness & compassion. Dr. Ascher enjoys surgery, challenging cases, and dentistry. In her spare time, she cares for two aging kitties, two young dogs, and two horses. She also enjoys gardening and ballroom dancing with her fiancé Bill.

Dr. Christy Artuso

Education: University of Pennsylvania-1998

Dr Artuso graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BS in natural sciences and earned her veterinary degree from University of Pennsylvania. She practiced for 3 years in Basking Ridge before joining Clover Hill Animal Hospital in 2001. She is fear free certified and accredited with the USDA for traveling pets. Her focus in practice is on preventative care, wellness and internal medicine. Dr Artuso and her husband Brian have 4 active children, who keep them very busy. When she isn’t spending time with her family, you can find her reading, gardening, or watching a good college or professional game on tv. She also enjoys watching her kids’ activities and snuggling with any of her 4 cats(often more than one), “Z”, Celia, Jackson(the trouble maker) or Raelyn.

Ashley Quickel

Ashley always wanted to be a veterinarian & joined us in 2005 when she was just a teenager. She has since graduated with her bachelor’s in pre-vet from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a masters in lab animal science. Although she’s obtained a job with a pharmaceutical company, she continues to work for us one day a week. She has a basset hound named Moose, 5 cats, and had a beautiful horse named Chip.

Courtney Rau

Courtney joined the Clover Hill crew in November 2013. Born an animal lover, Courtney began as a kennel assistant in a boarding facility that was attached to an animal hospital. From that point on, she knew her ultimate goal was to become a certified veterinary technician. She is now in the process of achieving that goal. Courtney has 3 male cats, Nirvana, Spartacus, & Bentley, who are the loves of her life!

Erin Hodgkiss

Erin joined our team in January of 2018. Prior to coming to Clover Hill, Erin was a history teacher as well as a volunteer at Woodlands Wildlife Refuge, where she decided to pursue her passion for animals. Erin was excited to finally be able to find a career in which she could work with and care for animals, and she is working towards becoming a certified veterinary technician (CVT). Erin lives with her husband,Dylan. They share their home with their dog, Rudy, and three cats Scarlet, Tiny Tim, and Goosebump.

Erin Vanderhoof

Erin’s passion for animals started very young. When she was just 6 years old, she joined 4H and trained puppies for The Seeing Eye! It was then that she decided that working with animals was how she wanted to spend the rest of her life. Erin is always eager to learn and help in any situation. She has a 5 year old “daughter,” a white lab named Daisy. In her spare time, Erin enjoys snowboarding, hiking, riding her quad, and pretty much anything outside!

Eve Cronin

Eve joined our team as a high school intern from the Hunterdon Central Polytech program in 2017. She was a standout intern and we were happy and grateful that she took our offer to stay on as a permanent employee. Eve is currently enrolled in Delaware Valley University and is a member of the Honors Society there. She is also employed at another veterinary practice close to the school. Eve’s ultimate goal is to become a certified veterinary technician, specializing in rehabilitation and dreams of opening her own rehabilitation facility one day. Her animal family consists of Remington (mixed breed dog), and her feline friends Jack and Jolene.

Nicole Herbert

Nicole joined the practice almost at the beginning in 1993. She quickly fell in love with the work, the clients, and the patients. After working her way into a management position in 2000, she became a certified technician (CVT) in 2010 & is on the board for the New Jersey Veterinary Technician Association. She does a lot of volunteering including Hunterdon CART, CERT, & the Woodlands Wildlife Refuge and is active in the competitive sports of flag football, volleyball, & softball.

Penny Luxich

Penny has been a staff member of Clover Hill since 1998. She has a full time job at Johnson & Johnson developing medical devices, and we are grateful to have her part-time on Saturdays. In her spare time, Penny loves spending time with her husband Jim and their nine cats!

Tracy Roksvaag

Tracy’s journey into the world of animal care started at age 8 when she received her very first dog and it has been a love affair with animals & rescue ever since! She joined the Clover Hill team in 2006 and though she’s since moved down the shore, she is still with us part time. She has two rescue pups of her own, Biscuit and Zoe, as well as a rat named Tyrion; all three are very much loved & spoiled!
